SharePoint Online web part Gallery
Pictoria is a SharePoint Online Image Gallery web part to help you showcase images and card feeds. Pictoria is also sort of Modern SharePoint web parts that Microsoft presents. Pictoria is an Image Slider or dynamic gallery and Card Feeds SharePoint Web Part.

As an image slider, you can list the images that were saved into your image library. You can filter your images by tags.
All you need to do is to upload some pictures into the image library and assign “Title” and “Keywords”. Based on your keywords, you can filter images in the image slider.
On the top of the web part, your keywords appear as a tag that you can use to filter slider images according to your tag. You can click on the image “Legend” and update the image Title and Keywords. Only members of the “Site Owners” group can perform this action.
In the Edit mode, you can set up properties for your image slider. For example, you can set the number of slides to appear, the image slider max width and height, transition time, etc.
By clicking on the thumb-up icon in the legend you can “Like” images, you can check who was impressed by the image as well. Only one like is allowed per user.
Pictoria as a ‘Card Feeds’ enables you to list articles as cards. You can set the max number of Card Feeds to appear in the web part, as well as, setting the number of characters per text.
You can select the background color for your Cards View and Card Detail View.
You can also click on the link “more..” to open the page article detail view. In the “Card Detail View” you can review content related to the image, and click the Edit button to edit image properties.
As the SharePoint Online Picture Gallery web part is using the “Card Content” – HTML field to show the content, you can format it as you wish. Therefore this would be the simplest way for you to promote your: Products, Services, Real Estate listings, etc…

- Select your image library from the drop-down box.

Click on the “More…” link in Card Feed and the page will switch to detail card view.

- Set Title
- Select the number of characters per Card Feed.
- Select background color for your cards.
Notice for Adding New Fields
The SharePoint Online Picture Gallery web part is using the editing HTML field for the Card content.
When you load the web part for the first time, you will be asked to accept adding the “Card Content” HTML site field into your image library.
If you are missing the following fields in your image library content type, they will be added.
You will be notified about this action.
Card Content – HTML field
LikedBy – person field
LikesCount – number field
Author – text field
Copyright – text field
You might have some of these fields already installed, depending on what features were activated in your SharePoint Site
- Make sure the library you choose has ‘Image’ or ‘Picture’ Content type selected
- Go to Library settings -> Add from existing site content types -> Select Images or Picture CT
- If you cannot see ‘Add from existing site content types’, then go to:
- Library settings -> Advanced Settings -> Allow management of content types?: and check ‘Yes’
Adding Images To Slider
Go to your image library and create or upload a new image.
